Graduate Project Assistantships

DESCRIPTION:

Provide R2D2 Center program and project support. Assist staff in research, development, and training activities related to technology, measurement, and disability. Duties include assisting faculty and academic staff with preparing proposals, reports, manuscripts, informational products, presentations, and dissemination efforts that may include web postings and formal print publications. R2D2 Center graduate assistants also provide support in project data collection and analysis and are key to helping prepare studies through literature searches, review, and general organizational tasks. Attend project meetings as needed and maintain close communication with project teams, team leaders, and PIs. Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates should be detail oriented, organized, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently and follow through on all matters to successful completion. Candidates should be literate in Microsoft Office and statistical analysis software. Superior candidates will possess knowledge and experience with a range of technologies associated with computers, multiple platforms, and/or website support.

SELECTION PROCESS:

Criteria for selecting graduate assistants includes: time availability, available funding, expertise related to current R2D2 Center projects and activities, relevant experience, and support from references. The application and selection process is ongoing. Application materials are discussed each semester from the current pool of applicants. Due to unpredictable funding flow of projects, assistantship appointments are highly variable.
