Photo Detail - MIH Image Gallery
The stairway is centered in the photograph. A thick metal railing is on the outside, away from the wall, of the stairway on both levels. Various large bolts are on each of the bars holding the railing up. The stairs themselves are dark brown and the walls on the side of the stairwell are unfinished and light tan. The floor is partially covered in a pink paper cover and taped down in various areas. Some of the gray cement is showing in areas where the cover has been torn. On the left side of the stairwell a hallway is visible that leads to a brown front door. Hanging from the second floor of the stairwell a green extension cord is hanging down and is coiled on the floor in front of the first stair. A white light switch with three switches on it is on the wall, just above the first stair.
In front of the staircase, a short metal tripod is holding a machine that drills heavy bolts into the railings of the staircase. A blue and gray broom is resting on the side of the tripod. Behind the tripod and up against the stairs are two paint cans. A hammer is resting on one of the cans and a silver container is on top of the other one. Scraps of construction material are lying around the tripod and paint cans. On the right side of the photograph, another wider broom is resting against a brown cabinet. On top of the cabinet is a black bowl that appears to have a few white rags in it. Two large boxes against the right side of the wall contain scraps and garbage.
